Training

ADL2011 039Steam conducts structured training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings which are free to club members. These sessions are run by our qualified coaches and are designed to improve your skills and strength and endurance in a safe manner with a bit of fun.

Depending upon the specifics of the session, after a group warm up ride, you will generally be grouped with riders of similar ability and strength. Sessions are oriented towards improving particular areas of on-bike fitness, such as hill climbing, speed work, time trialing and sprinting, and are related to current club training goals.

Sessions are held both within Centennial Park, and in and around the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

If you would like to try a session, we meet at York Road Gates in Centennial Park at 5:40am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The sessions are usually around 1 hour 15 minutes in duration.
